Arizona's got this there the best all-around team but I would love to see Carolina win. New England's gonna probably win as well although I hate Brady and wish manning could win one before he retires so all in all I think it's gonna be new england v. Arizona but I wish it was the opposite.

Bro, really? One more time of what...Brady authoring his 100th NFL/NFL Playoff record while Manning makes faces that go on the signature website for his faces? C'mon bro, game of the year? That was the other night with the Pack and the Cards. Best 5 minutes of NFL game time I've ever seen.

Panthers smoke AZ? Sorry. Not happening. The Cards were light on execution last Saturday. Don't expect it to happen again.

Let's get one thing straight. Brady will NEVER have these numbers that Manning had this year: Completion: 59.8
Yards: 2,249 TD: 9 INT: 17 Rating: 67.9. Heck, this was his stat line on Sunday: 56.8, 222, 0, 0, 74.4 = NON-FACTOR. Yet...it's "game of the year"...right. That matchup may certainly be a duel of the Pats offense vs. the Denver defense, but the Brady-Manning ship sailed long, long ago.

Brady was 39 years old this year and these were his stats: 64.4%; 4,770; 36TD 7INT; 102.2 rating. Without one of his top receivers half the year. Did you know that Manning's stats listed above from this year are when he is 40 years old? Manning can't hold Brady's jock these days and they're the same age.

One more tidbit for you haters: Brady has been sacked 402 times in 225 games (1.79/gm) and only 302 in 266 games for Manning (1.14/gm). Yet Manning is the one hobbling now and throwing abundant interceptions.

And if somehow the Patriots don't win, well they'll still be the team everyone else in the league measures themselves by.

I thought this thread was clickbait link-spam ha

That's some serious ESPN regurgitation^^^ I hope the Panthers win, but I dont really have any strong opinions about it.

The first pre-requisite for sports fanship is cable tv, which I don't have.

48 hours after the superbowl I'll probably forget who won.

If the Broncos win, it's because everyone outside of Peyton Manning had the game of their lives. He is completely cooked. In today's NFL, they hand out passing yards and touchdowns like candy on Halloween, which makes Peyton's stats even worse. If Denver was serious about winning this game, they would start Brock. BB is going to feast on Peyton's carcass.

Closing stat to show how pathetic Peyton is: Brady has thrown three TDs in Denver this season. Peyton has thrown one...

salz- i regress my transgression on ya. i love your last stat- bradys 3 tds in denver this year to manning's 1! it's gonna be hard to concentrate when the 711 barrels are going off on sunday afternoon, but hopefully i'll make it back for 2nd half;)

emazz, aka stats mcgee, good work nerd, but i don't think there's anyone in new england who thinks this will be a cakewalk. pats' o-line needs to do an even better job protecting TB12, and the defense needs to capitalize on at lest 1 turnover. i predict Butler intercepts manning for a pick 6
and carolina will definitely be eating cardinal soup for dinner

Go back and watch the Dolphins destroy the Pats / Brady, that's all I need to know about their O-line. Denver wins via murder death kill

That wasn't the Patriots in the Week 17 game. Actually was the Washington Sentinels, led by Shane Falco.

If we're in this historical mood, go look up Manning's performance during Week 10 against KC - the last time he played football in back-to-back weeks. I believe you'll find he completed more passes to his opponents than to his teammates, leading to the worst QB performance in the Super Bowl era.

Looks like the NFL forgot to remove the film from the history books:

Excuses, they had the #1 seed on the line, had everything to play for. And Brady played the entire game until the last series when they realized they were going to lose and didn't want to chance him getting hurt because he was getting beat like a pinata.

I honestly agree with you. I hated their game plan and the lack of desire to put a winning strategy on the field. My only concern with Denver is their home-field-advantage. It's a pain in the ass to play there and the Pats haven't performed well historically. If they do lose, Belichick and McDaniels will receive a ton of criticism for that call.

Obviously, Brady is a great all-time QB. I just think Manning (in his prime) is a better QB. Maybe because he can throw the ball down the field. People do argue that championships mean everything to a QB rating but I disagree. It all depends on the team that surrounds that QB and their defense. Dan Marino is a good example. Incredible QB that never had a running game to support him. You put some of these QBs on another offense and they can also win superbowls. I'm not saying to take away anything from these QBs that win superbowls because they still have to perform in the big games. It's just your supporting cast does help. There are also plenty of mediocre QBs who have won superbowls.

I also enjoy watching Manning (not this year obviously) throw the ball much more than watching Brady throw short screen passes or 8 yard passes the whole game. Brady executes but isn't too exciting to watch.

Glad we agree on this, I will say though, Tom was on fire last week so if he can replicate that kind of performance, they'll have a good chance of winning. I think Peyton will have one last hurrah and go out with a bang. Not a Broncos fan, just think their defense is something to be concerned about. I don't think Emmanuel Sanders and company are going to drop passes like they have been lately. I predict a good game, but Broncos move on. Defense wins championships. Denver vs. Carolina in the Superbowl.
