harvey cedars to the north of the island can be fun. But, be careful of the cops there... they are d***s. I had a bad experience with the police there over the stupidest junk - and its basically because the community doesn't like surfers...
Pehala Park is by far the best. It's where the only ACME on the Island is. I have a beach house there and the waves are sick on good days. This weekend is supposed to be cold but good for surfing, so if I were you I would give it a try.
Thanks for all the replies. We are staying in beach haven on 15th street. I will have to check out the spots you all have recommended. The forecast was looking much stronger earlier in the week, is there much chance it will improve for the weekend? I dont know anything about forecasting so I pretty much rely on sites like this and the tides. James
