I feel you, to its their own when it comes to fighters, I just think that's one of the coolest things a professional fighter has ever done for a fan. Love em or hate em, I bet you'll watch his fights though lol

 

HAHA Doubtful but that sure would be funny as hell to see. Cmac is the real deal! Can't wait to see the fight either way. I give the dude props for going from 145lbs to 170lbs (skipping 155), he isn't afraid of anybody, love that! He'll win this fight then hop back down and rematch with Aldo, knock him out again, then back up to take Dos Anjos LW belt when his poor little foot is healed. Damn Brazilians don't know how to train without getting hurt. And then he'll end up back at Welterweight to take that belt too (beating Lawler) and will be the first fighter to hold 3 belts in the UFC. Write it down, this dude is going to be a mega star!

 

LOL I started to feel that way at first when he started running his mouth but then he backed up everything he said, ever bit of it and then some. He knows how to sell tickets and put butts in seats. He's making $$$ because of it, he aint stupid, very smart actually. This video shows who he really is I believe. People hated Muhammad Ali for a while too, now he's beloved and revered as the GOAT by most. It's part of the fight business.

 

At the end of the day, people want to see him get KO'd or they want to see him KO someone else, either way he wins!

 

Lawler is a tough out for sure, I love watching that guy fight, seen him fight since he was a 19 year old kid, happy that he finally got him the WW belt, but he will get put down just like when Nick Diaz put him down, he's just not fast enough for Conor I don't think. It will be a great f'ing fight though, I can assure you of that, it'll be a war!

I agree with being strategic and not brawling if you want to have a long fight career but take a look at what he's done in his last 10 fights.

6 out of his last 10 fights he has finished in the 1st round by TKO or KO

3 out of 10 he he finished in the 2nd round by TKO or submission

Only 1 of 10 went to a decision after 3 rounds (before he was champ). This is the only fight that went past round 2 in his entire career.

His last fight against Aldo (the former #1 Pound-for-pound champ) lasted only 13 seconds. He knocked him out cold and didn't have a scratch on him.

I don't think he should be considered a brawler, he's very technical and just puts dudes down quick. He's got a lot of mileage left, he's just getting started actually. His only two losses were early in his career and they were 1st round submissions, never been KO'd or TKO'd.

 

Yeah man, how many pro athletes would randomly go inside a fans apartment and sign sh*t like that?

 

You might still get to see that fight eventually, who knows, but I think Frankie's best days are behind him
