Emass' setup sounds cool (having Carver trucks on a deck that can ollie/grind). But my skateboard is made just for that.

It's true that I don't use the carver because I'm usually street skating, but revisiting this thread has made me wonder why I don't use it when I'm just cruising to the store. And I think the reason is that I can pump my regular skateboard anyway. I need a bit of speed, or a slight downhill, but I keep my trucks really loose, and I get a surfy feel with my regular deck.

Training sucks anyway. I don't want to train, I want to f*cking surf. I take time off from work and what do I get, one measly session in a week. In Winter! F*ck the Atlantic, stupid sh*t coast making us buy stupid sh*t skateboards.

Yeah, I know, I know. I'm locked down in NY for now though, my GF is finishing her PhD. We should be in Indo for a month-plus this summer, thanks to her job; maybe for a year thereafter.

I don't know if San Diego is really ever gonna be in the cards for me, but I've definitely got my sights set on more undulant pastures.

I have honestly never even surfed the West Coast. Might make it there next fall/winter though. If I roll through I will definitely hit you up, I owe you a beer for the hookup on my Hurley 4/3.

Any one of those 3 will work for you. I ride the Resin and at 6ft my stance is fine. I don't see the Greenroom on the Carver website, so Im not sure they still make it. The C7 will be a little weird to get accustomed to, but once dialed in it is a blast.

The Green Room is available underneath 'Longboards' but you can still get it setup with the C7 & CX trucks. Not sure if they've changed something to make it more of a longboard vs. surf skate?

I ended up picking up the Stacked model this weekend, already in love with it! It's so true that the Carvers really have a unique feel to them. Can't wait to get out of work to ride around so more later.

I really wanted to demo the Resin model but they didn't have any in stock & I figured I can always pick up the deck if I want to switch it up.

Just wanted to update & officially announced I have converted
