I have been surfing on my 8'6" walden for two days now and have almost got the hang of it. My friend even invited me to California to surf with him during the fall. Should I take my board to Califoria (flying southwest). He says he surf a spot called Mavericks don't know if anyone has heard of that. But you think it would be a good idea to take my board or rent a board there?
HAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHA!!! MAVERICKS!?!?!?!?!?! you would F***ing die. type in mavericks surf on google images then post something, and it would cost hundreds of dollars to bring that log.
I didn't know the waves got so big in California. Maybe I will stay here and surf North Side of the Idian River inlet until I get good enough to go surf Mavericks with my friend. Hope to see you guys out there.
sorry for the comment bro, your just a beginner so i shouldnt be so harsh, but mavericks is a really strong place, its like 10 year experience if your good. but no longboards at mavericks. but have fun bro
yeah man just enjoy what you've been doing - Mavericks is professional territory, but there are plenty more places in California to surf. good luck, have fun!
i know it may seem kinda mean.....but i personally would like to see the look on that surfer with 2 days experience as he fell graciously to the pits that many men fear lol.
i think you should at least give it another week billy and then go for it. if you're as good as your bud says you are then you should have the paddling muscles for mavericks by the end of the week and catch some 5 footers no problem.......c'mon guys, how could you think this was serious?
Today I surfed the shark infested waters at tower road with the one and only Donovan Frankenreiter and I cut him off once and got in his way once. Other then that my skills are progressing rapidly. I have surfed with a pro and now can stand up. See you guys at the surfing beach in OC tomorrow
it is hilarious! just watching all these people talk about a 2 day surfer going to mavericks in the fall. im not being mean to anybody its just a funny forum.
I think it's a great idea for you to try that spot. I'll keep an eye out for you. hmm, okay 8'6" walden.....noted.
