Best 60 bucks I ever spent. I felt like a proud dad after that fight. I always liked Nate and Nick's style. Kill or be killed. Why wasn't Nick allowed in Nate's corner? Is it bc he is suspended? That is bs.
I had McGregor too. But there was a little voice inside me that was counting on Diaz. Never bet against a Diaz. It just isn't smart. Props to McGrgor for getting in there but he isnt the god he thinks he is.
You gotta give him big props for stepping outside his comfort zone and taking on a larger opponent with skills. He gave a great interview afterwards I saw on ESPN, very classy. He'll be back on top soon.
Saw an interview with him after the fight with this blonde, I think he called her Caroline. I couldn't take my eyes off of her boobs and I have no clue what he said during the interview. HA HA I tried to find the interview, but then I got tired of looking
I can't listen to Diaz. Sounds like he has a lisp along with a mouthful of quarters. I didn't see the fight but Diaz looked ****ed up. What happened in the rest of the fight?
The short version is Conor came out strong, was busting Nate up pretty good, Nate hung tough and was patient, getting some shots in here and there, Conor was getting the best of him and then he got cocky and started leaving his hands down and just walking into shots and was throwing heavy leather the whole time till he got tired and slowed down, then he got stunned by straight shot on the chin and got wobbled and Nate went in for the kill, Conor shot for the take down, it got stuffed, tried to scramble but Nate ended up getting his back and choking him out till he tapped.
Lost the fight at the press conference. When Diaz flexed and made him jump like a little biotch. Did you see Dana white laughing at him!
Meh, I dunno about that lol, I thought he was winning the fight and could have cruised to a victory if he had just chilled the F out, but he was so insistent on finishing him early that he didn't pace himself. He thought Nate was going to go down like everybody else he fought in the past couple years. This is a good learning experience for him, could be a blessing in disguise. Next time he moves up I think he'll have a better game plan, can't expect these bigger fighters to crumble like the 145ers do when he drops bombs on their heads. Takes a bit more patience and I think he's smart enough to realize that.
Can't fault him for giving it a full effort though, I mean it was a very exciting fight. He and Nate gave the fans what they paid for, which is a lot more then some fighters do. I see this as his Matt Serra vs. GSP moment, if you remember that shocker.
If I were him I'd go train BJJ and learn to defend subs better because that's his weakness, only way he's lost so far. His striking is elite, so he just needs to maintain that and work on the wrestling and BJJ to be a complete fighter and not have to rely on his KO power.
Nah, she tried to tap but couldn't lol I watched it multiple times, there was an attempt in there. But yeah, she needs to do the same.
That's not fully accurate. He got stuffed. Nate mounted and started pounding him. Conor couldn't take and rolled over to avoid more abuse, giving up his back
