..Ok, I get it. I want those good/best conditions as well. And for those with responsibilities,..Family, JOBS, etc,...you have got to wait to pull the trigger and not waist it on slop. And if your getting older, ;like some of us, who can blame you, during the cold off season.

I guess I should have just gone out ALL DAY LONG. But sometimes I just can not bring myself to do it. You see the conditions and you see all these persons, >>really not that crowded<<, but you want to ask them where the hell did you come from, all of a sudden?! >>Locals not included of course<<

Shout out to those who went out the day before

I'm very blessed to be able to ***** about such trivial bull****, but I ask you, since it is almost springtime and we are bound to see a thread or two *****ing about such things,.thought I would get a jump start. But I ask you, don't you just get a ? Little ? pissed/NON-ALOHA at times?

    xgen70...OG, respek!

I used to get annoyed but somewhere along the road it dawned on me that I need new home furnishing, so once again we loaded the van until it was full, ever since that day my living room is been much more comfortable!

really though I can't stand the fair weathers. Clogging up spots, calling their friends and laughing in the lineup As they go over the falls blowin waves. beginners are fine when they truly want to learn how to surf, witch includes following etiquette, and trying best not to get in the way.

But if you don't surf all year round you don't surf...you " go to the beach"

naw brah - positive vibes here 100% all the time, all day errrrryyy day. "b1tchin is for b1tches" ©.
but if you have a strong opinion aboot the warm weather sprouting a new population growth at your local go-to - i hear ya, hey water gets greener too, with all the seaweed, reg weed, and fish pee. i personally dont mind the crowd, cause im not an anti-social douchebag. what does however creese my corners - are summer heros, the damn pro wanna be 20 year olds that are sooooooo gooooood, with zero etiquette, people that dont say good morning back to me, and quarter pros that were nowhere to be seen in winter. THATS COOL though, i dont care if you only surf warm water - i dont care. it doesnt matter. i just think that i see better attitude in people during colder months. its almost like it brings out the best in people. or everybody's balls are equially tiny during that time... could be..could be....
i'll still say hello to everybody, even if you think you're above saying hello back - i'll do it again next time i see you too.
one love compadre, good weather is on our way, and for one - i'm looking forward to DP sesshies before trabajo, that stuff is what dreams are made of ...for me.

Fark "aloha"...I'm just glad that the 3-month long conveyor belt of 3X OH out-of-control crapola is finally coming to an end. This has got to be one of the crappiest winters in memory up here (locally speaking).

Two words. New Yorkers. They suck the fun out of everything and crowd the spots. They have their hipster beards and 6 fin hipster boards. Very few can actually surf decent but they definitely don't know about etiquette.

Nelscott is a few hours away (not like I would *ever* surf that spot lol).

Have another "area" a couple hours north that, from what my buds have been telling me, was Richter this year. The place is probably the Ultimate "wrap spot" in the continental U.S.---and gets near as cold as NJ and Northeast.

Unfortunately, this winter had me working a lot of overtime, and the Scooby Van threw a rod...so I got very little surf "locally" this year. Very sad.

Convinced the boss to put me back in part-time mode, just in time. Swell is dying down to head high - overhead for the first time in weeks, with favorable winds, tides and sunshine too. Compared to last year, this winter has been pretty lousy up here.

yeah brah, you know the spot. All the stories are true, difficult to get wired. Funny thing, the guys that have been telling me that it's been "firing" are a couple of kids that surf almost *anything* lol. The older guys around here kinda take their reports with a big grain of salt. But I have no doubt that the area had size and was probably going off.

    Glad to hear you scored.

I saw tons of newbies out in full suites and booties this winter can't imagine what spring is gonna look like. When there are actually waves (not that often) the problem takes care of itself as far as the newbies go. But damn those 20 yr old thinks they shredd like Slater summer pros are the biggest aholes in the line up. But at least there will be bikinis.

To me, summer surfing is pretty much a joke anyway. There's rarely a situation to get all aggro about in June, July and August. But on those days when it is good, and you want to get some waves without any hassles... yea. It gets kinda frustrating. But you've got the rest of the year to surf, so it all works out in the end. I can count the number of times I surfed in a "crowd" this winter on one hand... surfed solo WAY more times. Count your blessings...

    Two words. Suck It.

When the wind is good in NY, I regularly see cars and vans cranmed with New Jersians. So... right back at ya.

Don't be jealous just cause you can't afford a 9-fin Mid-length Megabonzer from Saturdays surf shop (and coffee lounge!). Not our fault that most people from Jersey are dirt poor.

I guess it all depends on personal perspective. Apparently, judging by the number of guys out at any one peak during the summer, some people don't seem to mind the crowds at all.

Personally... for me... if there's more guys on a peak then there are waves in a set, it's crowded. If the waves are coming in 5 and 6 waves to a set, a half a dozen guys isn't bad. But if its 1-3 waves per set, a surfing with 6 other dudes makes no sense to me.

LMAO! I never go to New York beaches. I go south in NJ instead when the wind changes. The city smells like piss and the waves are too soft at NY beaches. Please stay in that rat race cesspool. I don't understand why anyone would want to live there but some like wallowing in their own feces.

Way more New Yorkers come south, then NJ surfers going to NY. We have more options. I just have to puke in my wetsuit when I hear a New York accent or some ***** NY hipster from NY still living off mommy. They think they are artists after plopping some blobs of paint on a canvas and to listening to music that only they know. They should stick to those activities since they are horrible at surfing. All these city surfers these days because surfing is a fad now. They have come out of the dark to surf in order to make people think they are 'surfers'. You have a few good surfers. Most are just fat guys named Tony with gold chains and the stench of pizza with the occasional brooklyn tool checking out the latest vinyl, cheese shops and happy there are 300 coffee shops in a 1 mile radius.
