What constitutes a "crowd" in NH?

y'all act like the place is the 2nd Coming of Malibu or something. It can't be all that bad.

Largely empty in the winter on weekdays. Winter weekends a bit more crowded. Summer, holy crap.

What, like 20 or 25 guys at Rye? You're kidding, right?

    I'm talking bout Hampton bch.

Rye (RR) gets crowded quick because of the tight take-off zone. I rarely surf there though, so many better and uncrowded options.

Yes, but they are all really fat and take up a lot of room within a peak that can sustain 4 at best.

The reason I don't surf there much is because it is an over-rated wave, boring as all hell, and no bikinis on the beach, ever.

When we get 25 people on our peaks, 23 of them are usually just floating flotsam and jetsam.

The w**l is a spread-out mile long beach break with a zillion peaks, even if there's 200 people out you can still find a peak to yourself.

Also in the summer for bodyboarders, a big section is banned for stand-up surfing by the lifeguards (woo!) but AOK for spongers.

True. The average NE surfer is middle-aged and generally crap. Spots can look crowded, until you realize 80% of the crowd sucks. I head out to Cali to visit family, and it's 80% of the crowd rips.
