any chance of a sunset session tonight? looks like it's going to go offshore around 7... model on this site shows flat though at that time w/ an overnight build, but it looks like the wind will be w-nw overnight..
will there be ground swell filling it at that time? i am slightly confused.

ground swell is a confusing term, and not really a good term... But, what happens on the SW wind swells is that it will take some time for the southerly fetch that develops to the south to make its way in to your area. So, that is why sometimes, it can blow SW and there will be no waves, and then 12 hours later or so some swell fills in. Latest model updates showing more SW direction, so prob a little drop in size.

This swell looks similar to Thursday's swell, where select spots were really fun, while others were pretty small.

saturday was one of the best days i've had in recent memory. chest high all day. the dp was super clean and the afternoon had light surface texture from the N wind - but nothing at all to complain about. 2 long as hell sessions all bareback on a perfect day in mon. county
