Do you go with all Brazilians?

I threw Coffin in there as the lone gringo for my team. Maybe he can jump around in that beach break, provide some comp to Filipe & the others.

Is this what you do for surfing, seeing as you live 3-4 hours away from the coastline?? Instead of being a "highway surfer", you are now a "TV surfer"??
    hahahahahahahaha!!!!
    Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Sorry--the devil made me do it!!

Rio is just another venue for the WSL and sponsors to make money. Bunch of donkeys. The remote islands of Fiji don't offer the same retail sales. Oh how I love Fiji...

Not my favorite contest. I'm keeping a global mix though the Brazil nuts will probably do well.

    ^ +1

Seems like this won't be the last competition there, though, esp when there are so many Brazzo pros on the circuit now.

Zika Effect....gotta figure that the local authorities are desperately doing their most intensive efforts to cover any & all reports of illness prior to Olympics. Will be interesting to see what effect is had on the WSL Brazil & the Olympics. Money rules....

Rio is not an ideal surf destination and nobody's gonna call it world class surf but I can guarantee the contest will be way more interesting than any of the oz contests. It is this way every year. In rio we will see guys get legit slamming tubes.....did that happen in oz? There will obviously be way more ramps so more airs...etc. just my opionion but three events of "the rail game" in oz gets pretty tiring. http://youtu.be/ijLOsy-h8Jw

Rio is the worst stop on the tour. Not even worth watching.

It wouldn't take much for it to be better than what they just surfed at Margaret River. Some of those heats were held in some pretty mediocre conditions.

That's true. It's something you normally wouldn't expect to happen though but this year it probably will.

I agree with the rio haters. Even the webcast seems sh1tty.

Here's my impression of a Brazzo post heat interview *broken english* "god made me a good surfer, yup all god, and also my dad. he made me surf when I was little. I prayed to be a good surfer and here I am. DERP"

It's the same with these guys in MMA, they're all programmed to say the same things
