well back in 65 i was over in the land of the raising sun and caught a point break that was clean 1-2 over head for 10 days straight then got so drunk of sake i caught the burn and haven't. been the same ever since but it was some great memories wouldnt go now to many pirates , pirate attacks are more prevalent now then in the 1800;s so i wouldn't suggest any trip

Hey, thanks alot for that link. I was just reading it and it was really interesting, and the pics to go with the explanations made it that much better. He mentioned some spots which have interested me, and are off the 'traveling surfer map' for the most part. I have a friend (non surfing) that is trying to get to Thailand this winter, and I've been saving for a trip, somewhere, for the same season. So I may check it out... don't know yet. From my research I've found that south is supposed to be alright surfwise. Italy is also high up on my list... thanks again mofo.
