Saw this, want to try it but would probably get clipped by the lip and waste 75% of the wave...

But for real, it's cool but it's still just an expensive gimmick.

The meet-up would be spoilt when Frost drowns on his first wave.

I laughed out loud at the locals only thing.

But I would probably get clipped by the lip immediately and waste the entire wave. It might would take me tree years to get it good.

C'mon it's the same damn wave over and over with zero flaw. You don't think you could get it dialed in quickly? Once on your feet it's all good I would think. You can tell exactly where the lip is going to be at all times, just don't stick your head right in it lol

That's a good point DP. On a real wave it's a constant give and take. Controlling your speed to be where you need to be. Which makes me wonder, how useful is this thing. For pros atleast, as a training device. Not very I'd think. Sure it allows repetition to get technique dialed in, but they already got that down. They're pros. Seems like surfing it too much could actually hurt your game in real waves.

I have mixed feelings about this thing. It is deffinitly by FAR the best man made wave in the world. Without a doubt. That deserves some credit. But on the other hand, I don't see it really helping pros and think opening it to the public is a silly idea for many reasons (especially in CA). I wonder what Kelly's motives were. If it was just to create something pretty damn cool, I can respect that. But who knows

With that being said, I'm totally down to split it up between us and surf that thing all day.

I try not to watch the clips so much cause it just tortures me. Maybe sunday we can get some of that action. I agree with most on upping the size I feel like I would try to duck in too slow or something and get clipped about 7 times outta 10. Is it powerful enough to knock you down everytime with a little clip though? I would love to try it but can't imagine the money in that (those if there's duplicates coming)
