I agree with you. I haven't eaten a deep dish pizza since I worked for a certain Pizza place with Hut in the name when I was 18. They deep pans were great for cleaning the table and dumping ashtrays in. A quick wipe with a rag and a squirt of oil and they were back in oven.

Yur all so quick to bust on Philly and SNJ, but some of you would be too scared and would sh!t in your in pants if you went into the neighborhoods where you can get the best steaks. (Most of my vitriol is aimed at that new ***got Pintail Donkey balls).
48th street market at 48th and Chestnut and Rocky's on Haverford Ave in West Philly. Boccella's Deli in Havertown. Go to those places and you will taste sammich nirvana.
Pappy's Pig Roast and BBQ in Marmora. Kessel's Korner in OC. Pyro's and Mr. D's in Wildwood. And of course, Wawa.

Had WaWa today. When im in Philly, I like Talk of The Town. There are so many little joints on the side streets that have great food. "Cluck U" is pretty good for wings.

 

I've been out of Jersey for 2 years and probably miss a good pizza more than anything. The pizza around here sucks. Can't get the crust right.

But dam, the freekin seafood is incredible. They have smoked musseles in a garlic spiced olive,oil that's made by a local guy. They will make your brains fall out. Combined, with this local bakery that has unbelievable bread when you slice it thin and top it with these musseles, it's sure palatable bliss.
Yea, a lot is in the bread.

And speaking of Cheesteaks... Texas Avenue Food Market in CM used to have the best... is now a Wawa. Westside Market after that. A rumor has it the butcher there won the lottery.... and kept working.

Cluck U is so amazing. Had one right up the road when I lived in MD.

Also, Jersey Mikes is freaking killer. I have only had the orig. Italian, but I've had it about 200 times. I had a bite of my girlfriends turkey sub once, also pretty good.

Wa-Wa stands alone for convenience, hours of operation, ease of ordering and variety. Nothing like stumbling in at 3:30 in the morning so drunk you can't talk and ordering something without having to say a word. I love you Wa-Wa
