Atlantic has just hit it's lowest swell point in awhile...what weird things do yous do in the meantime to stay calm/stoked?
Take my kid to the beach When there watch kooks get stoked on 5 sec period 1' winds well mush Also, swimme, yog, lift, drink beeeerz
Tree, read, skate, tree, cook, tend to garden, photography, tree, read more, YouTube, and of coarse - I'm here!
...Actually, it's run, workout, go to shooting range with sons, spend time with family. Beer consumption is not contingent upon surf conditions.
Get on your longbort, lay flat and go for a long paddle. Great exercise for paddling muscles; do so every flat day.
Work. NASCAR is in town and on those weekend I work For Dover Motor Sports. I ride around all day on a golf cart and make loot.
Fish. Fix sh!t around the house/boats that I put off 'till after the run of swell is gone. Fix dings. Go to a Blueclaws game. Lawn/garden maintenance. There's always something that need to get done in my 100+ year old house.
no doubt....always something to do with homeownership. I have re-kindled my love for bass fishing. Go shooting. Ride mountain bike. And Work!
Been doing this more often when it's flat and it does keep the paddle muscles tuned up and allows for a peaceful morning, usually nobody else in the water.
Good. It will serve you well if you do so over the years. Even at my age, I find I can still paddle into more waves than surfers way younger than me, when a swell is running; catch more waves than many of them. Works for me. By the time Fall rolls around with great storms, I will again be in great shape to keep a good wave count up.
I surf, like this morning before dead low. Very small, but clean. and if it was flat, I was jumping in regardless, even for a swim. But when it's flat, paddle or swim.
That actually looks pretty fun Ryan. I might go out for shin/ankle slappers tmrw. I need to get wet. This weather is too nice not to.
For sure, not paddling for a few days to a week I can tell the difference than when I'm out every day.
Aerobic and anaerobic capacity diminishes greatly, and quickly...especially if u olt - and ability to recover after efforts even more so Good news it can be trained up quickly Get at it and stay agile/flexible
