How does every one cope with being sore, and tired after several days of surfing for more than five hours each day. and when the waves continue and you want to surf but your body's physically doesn't want to move at all. Do you stretch, drink protein or whats your advice for not feeling sore, tired and absolutely burned out.
hahahahahahahahaha thats the bear minimum for most folks here, come on now. you sure you're in the right place, friend? also a good place to start for feeling less sore is to take it up the rear hatch less, if you follow, although i hear vikes and other synthetic opiates that good family doc-torrs shove down your system work magic, so checking your local vendor might be BEST way to go if you're in a hurry. where have you been surfing so much lately? no doubt the fabled Belmar?
A spliff to the dome, drink lots of water, stretch, another spliff, more water, followed by chugging 3 beers, and another spliff. Go surfing!
it starts with being in goode athletic condition. It starts on days when there is no surf. You need to eat clean, get plenty of rest, exercise, stretch etc... When the swell does come, you are ready. Also remember its not a race but a marathon. Swell on the horizon for a few days? Don't burn your self out the first session. Get out after a few hrs, sit on the beach and drink some water and eat something goode while BS'ing with buds and watching the waves. Then paddle back out. it takes 15 mins and does wonders. Stretch out the sore areas when you get home and feast. Sleep for adequate time and repeat until flatness.
Foam roller, tennis ball compression, rehydrate, yoga Also Rub some bourbon on it & be grateful you have multiple days of swell ya fok...sleep when yer ded
First move somewhere that you get to do that all the time. Then stop surfing 5 hours each day and just surf two hours each day. You'll find you have plenty of time to get fat and do other things, take your vacations in mountains and complain about not being able to snowboard, rock climb or mountain bike everyday for hours on end all week long.
going to give you the best advice youve ever heard: smoke a bone, do some yoga/ stretch and drink protein specifically powders because you will get LARGE muscles and never be sore ever again. for the furture: go to the gym you weak slug
Maybe your body is trying to tell you something... Take it easy a bit. Stay hydrated. Although as you get older, the soreness can be an ongoing thing. For me it's a good kind of soreness.
Quote from Gerry Lopez " when you're young you surf like there's no tomorrow. When your older, surf like you have to surf again tomorrow."
a good recovery drink after a surf helps too. Vegasport makes one and I notice the results. You take it within 15 of your last workout or surf. It shortens your recovery time. Just one scoop mixed in a glass of water.
