    A little early this week.
Caps, Playoffs, and Trader Joe's Josephbrau Spring Prost. A Maibock style seasonal brew. 7.3 ABV but alcohol taste is well-hidden. Good stuff.

....And one helluva game. Caps-Penguins: 4-3 in OT and TJ Oshie Hat Trick

No hockey tonight. Caps play tomorrow. Pens have won 3 of 4 so far in this round.
Gotta a few bottles of Michelob Ultra Amber. It's not great by any means, but for a light beer, it's not too bad. Now there's an endorsement!
Got tired of Miller Lite ("Tastes great, less filling...") and can't really tell the difference between Bud Light and Coors Light. If I was younger, I wouldn't be bothering with light beer.
Still really like the Duck Rabbit Milk Stout. Newcastle Brown Ale is all right.

Been wondering about these hard apple ciders and bought the only one they had at the local grocery: Angry Orchard. I thought it tasted like crap...kinda like cider vinegar mixed with bud light. Before I waste any more money, are any of the advertised hard cider/beers any good? (Stella Artois, Reds apple ale, Strongbow, Smith& Forge, etc)

IMO Strongbox's all right. Goes down very easily - almost too easy. Higher calories than a lot of beers. First tasted these type of ciders in the early 80s while in Victoria BC celebrating New Years Eve with some shipmates. Tasty stuff. Drank way too many.

Took the boys to watch the Riverdogs baseball game Fri. night. Didn't want to spend to much on beer. The choices for $6.00 24oz. bevs where Bud, Bud Light ( I hate Budwiper), Miller light, (Like miller high life but not lite), PBR (Just no at $6.00) or Corona. Had a couple Coronas for the first time in more than 10 years. Not bad almost tastless though. 3 colleges are having graduation this weekend and there where more people at the game than I've ever seen. Lot's of very nice scenery! Overall awesome Fri. night.

Thanks - yeah, I can imagine with all that sugar in them, the hangover could be wicked. Angry Orchard tasted better last night for whatever reason.

Not quite that ^^ good but Yuengling India Pale Lager. Blows away anything else I've ever tasted from them.

Two batches of homebrew aging in the bottle right now.

5% IPA with some garden strawberries in the mash

14% imperial stout. Easily the strongest beer I've brewed. Had to use champaign yeast to complete it. The ale yeast ran off with its tail between its legs and died at 10%. Wont even crack open one of these until its cold next winter.
