It just means that it comes from a single distillery. In Ireland it's called Single Pot Still, in Scotland it's called Single Malt. The most comparative wording in the USA would be a Bonded whiskey.

I also enjoy me some Chivas Regal, not every day I have some of that, but when I do, it's choice

If you like Chivas, give Clynelish 14yr a try. I believe Clynelish is a good part of the Chivas blend.

Clynelish 14 is a great gateway scotch. It really carries the barley profile nicely, and is very representative of what a scotch whisky is.

Are you a scotch fan? Every year my uncle gets my mom a bottle for her birthday, this was the last one. I also am not a fan of scotch. But I will say, this was smooth.

I'm not a big fan of scotch. But a lot of my drinking buddies are so I've been able to taste through just about everything Scotland has the offer. Bourbon is my whiskey of choice.

Most of the time I would just prefer a good IPA.

I love a good IPA. It seems like there are so many to choose from these days that a lot of them sit on the shelf too long and go bad. Always check dates when IPA shopping.

I have a store down the road where you can make your own six pack. It's great because I have been able to try quite a few different IPA's without having to buy a whole 6 pack and then hating it. I try new ones, but I stick to my regs. Sierra Nevada Torpedo being one.

Starting early with some Old Weller Antique from a barrel we purchased back in 2013. Love me a good wheater!

Decided to attempt thinning the herd of sample bottles. Starting with some Wild Turkey 8yr 101pf from 1986.
