Someone mentioned it already, but it's worth re-iterating. Read your state/local laws on this subject very thoroughly, not just with regard to licensing and ownership, but with regard to storage of guns and ammo as well.

I happen to live in the People's Republic of Massachusetts, and the laws here are way over the top. Leaving even one SPENT cartridge, powder, piece of lead formed into a bullet shape, etc. in an unlocked location to which an unlicensed person has access can get you fines, jail time, and your license revoked if they decide to throw the book at you. I'm not even talking about live ammo, or assembled far-ahrms,,, just harmless components.

This is a major hassle to comply with, especially for those of us who reload our own ammo and have accumulated a lot of components over the years.

Forget about having an actual loaded firearm within easy reach in your home for protection... it has to be actually on your person, in a safe, or trigger lock installed.

good lord. Virginia is the wild west. You can walk around here with an ar-15 strapped across your shoulder, guns on both hips, no permit required, just don't paddle out without a leash or swear on the boardwalk.

That's how it SHOULD be, IMO. That's how it was where I grew up (Missouri). Massachusetts is a nightmare for gun owners....

During turkey season or deer season when I was a kid, the trucks in the parking lot of my high school contained more fire power collectively than the sheriff's departments of the 3 surrounding counties combined. Guess what.... no one was shot at that school.... ever.

Dayum pump I thought you moved to Texas not to Compton. Don't forget to tape one under the dining room table.

Good point about gun laws, and also if you plan on crossing any state lines you better know what the laws are there as well. Until recently you could run up to The Commonwealth of Virginny and get a conceal permit, but they put the brakes on that so those permits are no longer valid here in Nawth Cackalacky.

We've got a facility in Wisconsin and my coworkers up there say its even more wide open. Dude bought an SK-47 knock off from a guy in a bar. They were drinking and shooting the sheet about guns and the guy had it in his trunk. Dude went to the atm in the bar and the other guy just walked out to his car, grabbed it, came back in and plopped it on the bar and nobody even blinked. Did the deal right there.

Sounds like we need to design some exploding tips amigo. Blowing up stuff is fun fun fun.

Gallon jug filled with gasoline and a .270 goes off like a mini atom bomb. Mushroom cloud and everything. Just make sure you are far away. Then get even farther away. Then back up some more.

    BOOM BABY BOOM!

Gotta go, homeland security is knocking at the door. Release the hounds!

No kidding. Modern "gun control" as a means of improving public safety is a fallacy. There's a damn good reason that most mass shootings occur in "gun free zones". Bad guys aren't all stupid... what do we expect when we advertise where the sheeple will be least likely to be able to defend themselves and most susceptible to attack. States and cities that go overboard in restricting their citizen's 2nd Amendment rights historically see a significant increase in violent crime. If Hillarye gets hold of the reigns it's only going to get worse. Pisses me off to no end.

Yep. And they don't even enforce the laws. When they start taking guns out of the hands of convicted career felons instead of focking with Dad driving his minivan full of kids to the movies I'll start giving them some thought, but that's just not the case.

I'm not too worried about Billary though (in that respect), not enough political points to score and too much ammo to give to the opposition. She'll throw some lip service to it knowing it'll never get past the house (if it even gets past a committee) but that's about it. Then she can claim she tried so she can placate her supporters and blame it on the Republicrats. Besides, she'll be too busy giving lip service to wall street. With her kneepads on.

Ironically, the gun and ammo manufacturers and dealers will love it. Every time Obama even says the word guns the get a run on their inventory and sell out. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if they were funding her through superpacs right along with the NRA.

What a dirty dirty world we live in. I need to get to my uncle's place and fire off some rounds, been too long, prob can't hit the broad side of a barn anymore. And surprisingly my wife has suggested I take her and the lil one and give them some training. Her logic is as long as they are in the house they should know how to use them. Naturally I got no problem with that.

Wow ever think they should ban handguns? Then people wouldnt have easy means to kill eachother. Ar-15s and other rifles should stay though.
