http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...acteria-infected-Father-s-Day-trip-beach.html The human virus contaminates/kills the host (Earth) which will in turn eventually snuff the human virus.
Also, article in 'Surfer' this month regarding how really bad the ocean is in socal; lotta surfers getting sick. Discouraging days. Maybe this belongs in Blasters depressing news tread.
THEY just turn a blind eye to the plight of our oceans. Forget about the massive amount of shark attacks, just don't dangle your legs. Our Olympians are going to be wallowing in tons of exotic bacterium. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/e...c-water-dangerously-polluted-ap-finds-n472961
That bacteria would have been there whether or not there is human detritus or not, actually. Contaminants don't help, that is for sure, and might increase incidence, but it need not be there. Bacteriology is a messy world; no definitive lines and lots of overlaps in populations etc. It is the way of the world........
Not arguing your point, Barry, but I'm referring to the antibiotic-eating critters like MRSA & gram negatives & others that have come on due to human virus misuse / abuse / over-prescribing of antibiotics. As you know, cause this stuff was kinda in your line of work. Necrotizing Fasciitis has been around for awhile, right?
Yes, but my point is, that they are there anyways. And we clearly have over-prescribed antibiotics. And that is because, mostly, microbiology is messy and it gets mixed with virology. So, in order to avoid treatment failure AND, importantly, a civil suit, litigation, docs treat on the legal safe side, not the medically sound side. Sad, isn't it?
They should. Once my wife was almost killed by a someone who didn't read her bracelet that says what's she's allergic to. They gave her bactrim and she had a reaction that nearly flat lined her, caused kidney failure, etc., she knew it the minute she gave it to her, she could tell, she felt it all the way up her spine. She asked the lady what she gave her and when she told her bactrim she went crazy on the lady because it said right there on her wrist to not give her that under any circumstances. So they had to give her something else to get it out of her system and it caused her to vomit all over the place. what's the point of the allergy bracelet if they don't read it? Or should I say scan it? I mean, they are the ones who put it on her wrist lol
