Did you clean the board prior to sticking it on? I have never had this issue before.

 

For TRACTION pads, I go with Dakine, same for leash

Most any pad seems to do the trick given you apply it correctly to a clean board. Just make sure the graphic or color tickles your fancy. Everyone knows it will not work right unless it looks cool. When people comment on it, your are doing it right
