Perhaps de-funding the DOD, pulling our troops out and letting the ****hole resume being a ****hole while we focus on domestic development and economic renewal not based on a war machine and finite resources would be a better strategy.

Its amorphous, "terrorism" is not a nationality that can be conquered or a religion that can be wiped out. It never ends and is self perpetuating. Wiping out all the Muslims as you suggest wouldn't end the war on terror, only by de-funding the millitary industrial complex and stopping the war machine can you do that. The war on terror is just an excuse for an infinite cyclical war for infinite profit at the non-hegemonic citizenry's expense, while the hegemonic states proceed to take their peoples civil liberties away and bankrupt their moral fortitude.
