This strife is on the doormat of the failure of leadership in this nation, non-partisan, top down.

"One of the slain officers was identified by his family as Montrell L. Jackson, an officer in Baton Rouge since June 2006, according to city records.

In the days after the killing of Alton B. Sterling, as well as the police deaths in Dallas, Officer Jackson used his Facebook page to speak out about his own experiences patrolling Baton Rouge.

“I’m tired physically and emotionally,” he wrote on July 8, the morning after the ambush in Dallas. Officer Jackson sometimes posted pictures on Facebook in support of other departments after officers died in the line of duty.

He added, “I swear to God I love this city, but I wonder if this city loves me. In uniform, I get nasty hateful looks, and out of uniform some consider me a threat. I’ve experienced so much in my short life and these last 3 days have tested me to the core.”

Referring to Baton Rouge, he said, “This city MUST and WILL get better. I’m working in these streets so any protesters, officers, friends, family or whoever, if you see me and need a hug or want to say a prayer. I got you.”

In 2007, Officer Jackson was among the Baton Rouge officers who suffered from smoke inhalation while trying to save an infant in an apartment fire.

Officer Jackson was married, and the couple had a son this year."

The mainstream media is also largely responsible for the racial divide. This CNN host refuses to condemn violence against police.

    Defending Obama's statements is biased.
Taking a stance based on research that he said could be flawed is biased.
He says he simply reports on BLM, but never reported the march in NYC where BLM calls for killing cops, or any other BLM protest where anti cop sentiment is spewed. That is biased journalism.
He doesn't have to condemn anti police rhetoric coming from BLM is not biased, but is also not truthful journalism.
To report on only one side of the issue without the other being reported on is biased.
Because the whole narrative has been on cops killing blacks without mentioning black on black murder and the violence within the black community, and not including that more whites are killed by cops, and white on white murder is less than black on black into the narrative. That is biased. That is not true journalism.
CNN is a mouthpiece of the Gov. and Pew statistics show it has a 6% approval rating.
    Mainstream news is biased.
