Still jumpin on coat tails huh Simple Hannah? To think nothing could ever go wrong is foolishness, and to believe Obama's line, Those who say the economy is doing bad are pedaling fiction" is foolish. Lies will not keep you safe from the truth.
Despite what you think, everyday is sunshine for me, b/c in the event of some sort of calamity i've got my ducks in order.
So just go back to smelling your own farts and leave the truth alone.

In my industry, prices for service have actually declined sharply due to the influx of cheap foreign labor entering the work force. 10 years ago what I would get paid for at $10 a foot, I now have to compete with guys willing to do it for $4 a foot.
I have refused to use cheap foriegn labor. All my employees are skilled craftsmen, and get paid handsomely. It's cut into my profit, but because of my hard work, diligence, and quality of craftsmanship, that I have created a customer base that is willing to pay more for my sevices. It hasn't been easy and the government nor Obama didn't help one bit.
Ask the poor people in poverty if things have gotten better.

Ask the poor people if they can find a decent paying job so they can afford to get out of section 8. Ask the inner city folks if the crime has decreased because of poverty. Ask the homeless vets if they are being paid for serving their country. Ask the 13 million homeless children if Pokemon is fun. Oh wait, they can barely feed themselves.
You're stuck in a smug little universe Simple Hannah, and you can't see through all your smugness.

Truth is Hanna, no I'm not better off. Financially I'm roughly making the same as I was 10 years ago. My income hasn't gotten any better. In fact I have to work more for roughly the same income as about 10 years ago. My savings has grown, my toy collection is a little bigger, but my expenses have increased too.
So I don't know where you get that the economy is on an upswing. The wage gap has only increased since Occupy Wall Street happened.

Like I said, you're living in a bubble. Go to the inner cities, go to the coal mining towns. Go to the once booming industrial areas. Take notice of the big box stores going out of business. Notice all the brick and mortar, mom and pop shops that no longer exist. Notice the price of copper is down by over 50%. Notice all the container ships sitting in port. You think gas is cheap cuz of a good economy? It's down to low demand. Saudi Arabia is borrowing Billions just to keep their economy alive.
You can't see the forest through the trees.

Alot, not all, but alot of the things you've mentioned are on the decline because of things far removed from anything our current president has done.

-Coal mining has declined in favor of cleaner energy sources
-Many industries have decreased personnel due to automation
-Mom and pop and other Big box stores have evaporated due to Wal-mart (That's capitalism)
-Copper has dropped due to tech advances in many other semi-conductors
-Gas is cheap because things in most oil producing nations are "somewhat" stable, this has resulted in a surplus driving down the price of crude

Maybe the economic upswing is just a localized, regional thing. I'm not sure, but the economy around here certainly has gotten better in the past 5-6 years.

Walmart gets tax breaks/subsidies because they pay their employees so little that many of them are on fed funded programs just to get by.
No, gas is cheap because of a surplus created by the oil producing counties in the ME.
So, coal, while more polluting, is a better solution/? Talk about short sighted.....
You're right. Copper prices have dropped due to lower demand... but from China. Not domestically.
Automation is reality, its just that.

I didn't say Walmart didn't receive tax breaks you illiterate nitwit.
Because coal is cheaper doesn't make it better. Sure there are subsidies for better energy sources, why wouldn't there be?
No, I don't think China's demand for copper is going to catch up here.

at least learn to read before you call someone retarded...lol
I think you've been suckling at the Trump teet for too long

Oil production is not adjusting to demand because Saudi Arabia is working to drive less efficient producers out of the marketplace.

Fracking has flooded the market with extremely cheap natural gas, reducing demand for coal. Coal jobs have also been lost in the move towards mountain top removal, which uses less labor than traditional mining.

No one has all the answers. And I have no idea what Brawndo is or what the fuk some dumb cartoon from the 90's has to do with that image. I will say that is a stupid logo They are using, not very friendly to the eyes.

I am way better off! My income compared to 10 years ago is up 77% for me alone and when combining with my wife it's more like 120%. Plus we both have full benefits paid by our companies and get 5 weeks of paid vacation a year. My retirement plans are doing very well and I'm on track to retire in 20-22 years when I'm 61 or 62. My wife drives a 2016 ML350, went on 6 ski trips start of this year and have bought 3 new guitars, two amps, 3 pairs skis/boots and a new surfbort in the last 12 months. So yeah I'm pretty fukin pleased with how my financial situation is going. Maybe you should have spent more time learning than following crazy theories and you could have a better job. Working more for the same $ is not a good career.

No. Subsidies help develop new and better technology for the future making these energy sources that appear to be more expensive in 2016, much cheaper for the future. Its called planning.

Hey, you should buy one of those mini boogies that are everywhere now so that you have it for your kid in a couple of years, even if the fad ends and they stop making them.

A big reason why the coal industry has declined in this country is due to increased regulations based on the false narrative of man made global warming. Sure it's dirty, but the technology is there for cleaner coal production.

The reason major dept stores like JC Penny, Macy's, Sears, KMart, Staples, Sports Authority, etc, are closing is not b/c of WalMart. WalMart is closing down stores worldwide.
Walmart To Close 152 U.S. Stores, Affecting 10,000 Jobs

Japan's economy is in trouble, China is hurting, the EU is hurting, Brazil is way bad, Argentina had gone to sh!t.
The problem is worldwide. Stop listening to the lies of politicians. They want you on the gov. Dole so they have control over you. They don't want a free market that empowers the ordinary citizen.
Why do you think they're pushing for a one world govt?
