Tell that to the millions of college grads that can't find a decent paying job and move out of their parents house.
I chose my career b/c I didn't want to work in some cubicle. I wanted to be my own boss and not have to answer to someone else and abide by their rules.
As far as spending more time learning, I was never in any position to go to college. I went from homeless at age 15 to constantly traveling the world by age 23 until the present day learning far more than any college could teach. I could have a fancy car, that doesn't appeal to me. I have all the toys anyone could ask for, carbon road and mountain bikes, latest in wetsuit tech, a quiver of boards that'll make you jealous. And while your waiting on someone else to retire i'm traveling at least 2 months out of the year, taking days off whenever I want to surf the other 10, and I'll still be retiring in the tropics by 60 surfing everyday.
You're worse than Gerge Cloony and Simple Hannah combined you Fukin conceited yuppie smug piece of sh!t.
You are the very person I laugh at and never wanted to be like. I actually feel sorry for you.

Plus others--coppers largest market was not really semi-conductors, but plumbing. Most new plumbing installations nowadays are with either PVC or another plastic component.
But the effects of China economic drop has already affected out stock markets--we have just recently begun to pull out of the dip (and that is all it was, a temporary dip).
Now we need tp temporarily navigate through some European changes (Brexit, et al), but even that will be less than what the news is screaming about.

Coal has been pigeon holed by Gov't without question

Lower oil price is due to supply (OPEC)....which was preceded by a slight drop in demand. OPEC ain't stupid....they have been squeezing our domestic companies

Copper and other commodities dropped b/c they were in a bubble due to China's appetite to buy it up with their manipulated currency.

Walmart has supplied the masses....mom and pops could not keep up with the population's demands....sad but true

Those college grads should have elected a better major, a real one where you can get a job. If you are pleased with your choices then quit your b!tchin about working harder for the same money. You made your bed now go fukin lie in it. I'm not waiting on anyone to retire other than myself. I do not get more income by climbing the corp ladder, I get it via commission and being paid for my work.

Damn right I am a yuppie and damn right I'm smug. I'm better than 95% of people on this planet and light years ahead of your pathetic waste of a life. I rock climb 3-4 days a week, ski all season long, surf when we have waves and play in 2 bands. I'd say for 41 I'm still living life like a much younger man.

Now get your worthless , waste of a cum shot ass back to telling us how we're all doomed from the Gov't, GMO's, TPP and what ever other acronym you decide to fear this week.

No, the price for your mom's ass, mouth and snatch went up so I make more pimping her dirty whore ass out.

Douche Canoe if you read the tread I wasn't complaining, I'm debt free, free to come and go as I please, and have a hefty nest egg to secure my future.
You're a filthy smug piece of sh!t to think you're better than someone else. To think your proud of that......... Well I'm lost for words.
You're the reason why people in other countries hate America. Money doesn't give you entitlement and your the f@ggot who has no respect for his fellow human.
As above so below, as within so without.
You have no respect for yourself, and I'm sure you'll say otherwise because you live in denial. Take away all your money and belongings and you'll be that sorry a$$ whiney little b!tch that no one cares about and your wife will be the first one to kick you to the curb.
You're nothing without your job, money, possessions and your conceited attitude proves it.
You wouldn't last 1 hour where I came from. Where I came from you would fall to your knees and beg for mercy, then they'd rob your sorry a$$ and put you in the hospital.

I retired first at age 56 from a pharma for which I had worked 30 years. I then got bored and accepted a job for a biologics company for 5 more years. When they started turning kooky, I retired a second time. I am once again bored, but, I need not work. I guess I am in that same category of being in better financial spot than most in the globe. But, I make no apologies, as I put in my time and long hours/day working, more than most I am told.
But, every now and then, a friend of mine who is a plumber needs help for 2-3 days and I help him--keeps the boring side of things to a minimum and great pocket money.
But the clock is in the final ticking for me to be a grand-dad; I am looking forward to that!! That will help me deal with retirement boring spells, I am sure.
In the meantime, I keep surfing, cycling or paddling..........it is flat ......

Lol, he's got it all, huh? He'd still cry and beg for mercy where I came from. Some tough motherfukers round there, born and raised on fighting, and well trained in the arts from a state champion dojo straight outta the hood.

Not sure where you came from Archy but you may very well be right that it would eat me for lunch. Course what your stupid ass fails to realize is that if I had grown up there I would be a different person. But alas I grew up in a family that was pretty well off. My father was the first of his family to go to college and his dad was a framer/carpenter so we did not have money in the family before dad. Both dad and I have learned from Gramps the value of hard work and that is why I am so successful. And since I do risk management/investing for a living and am the only child, thus getting my parents estate, don't really worry too much about loosing anything.

The wealthy make the rules and run the fuking world but of course you already know that. If you or anyone else thinks that the world is going to change then you are dumber than I thought. For thousands of years the rich have profited form the poor and the strong have oppressed the weak. I did not invent the system I just happen to be on the better side of the divide.

You obviously are not at a loss for words at my attitude since you keep responding so try this - If I don't know you, if you are not my Family or Friend then I don't give a flying fuk what happens to you. Outside of those folks the rest of this fuking world can burn and all I care about is making sure I got supplies to make Smores!

Hope you die soon Arch :)

Ahhh, just milked a long lunch capped off with some bubba kush, made peace with the woman, and came back into the office to this. Man, feeling like all is right in the world, we've been missing that heated an exchange here in our beloved forum.

    Same as it ever was

I have been in 3 serious altercations in my entire life, yes one led to me taking a gun from the guy that he used to pistol whip my buddy in the back of the head, and yes I did use it to shoot the guy I disarmed in the shoulder to bring the situation under control till the cops arrived, but it's not like I constantly want to fight someone just because I train to be ready to. That night I was glad for my training. Fortune favors the bold and luck is just a higher state of preparedness.
