I enjoy many others, but the fact that I was not very active here the last few years, Gruvi sticks out to me.

The njshredmachine stuff got a lot of mileage despite the fact that the number of that much-worshipped character's actual posts was very few.
Also anything involving "sand reconne" and having one's "sh*t thrown in the water". Both have been recurring themes.

Roy's Moaning Chair rants, and Sharksniffers Jihad moment were pretty awesome. Betty's Tropical Incest updates from Port Fierce always get the hype train rolling.

Mind surfing youtube waves mostly. Only the cams look worse than the forecast at the moment.

 

So many great treads have been dredged back up lately. NJShred and his aliases, MichaelJR, matheson and so on and so on. Plenty of gold out there in the archives. Of course, PJ's 'Who's been surfin' tread is epic and hopefully remains active in perpetuity.

That said, I would like to place into nomination the tread that introduced most of us to the 30-something alpha-male grom with infinite stoke whether on pave or wave who learned surf lingo quicker than is humanly possible, the one we all love to hate and hate to love, the member who would tirelessly pound out more keystrokes before 3 AM than others could in an entire day and then go shred the gnar for seven hours straight. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the man, the myth, the legend, EmassSpicoli and his tread "Close Calls".
