    its not that hard!

Wave maps you want the arrows pointed towards you.

Wind maps you want the arrows pointed away from you.

If you feel like surfing go check it.

If you REALLY feel like surfing paddle out without checking it first.

Nah but Mitchell man the way you talk about these lows, it's as if you know them...where are you guys getting the raw data? I know there's wind maps and such here, but do you go straight to the source, NOAA or something?

I actually just picked up on the low looking at a normal radar map of the EC. Identifying a low moving off coast, then the direction its moving and how fast. Also, use NOAA and buoy reports to see if the thing is actually producing some goods (lots of little clues on wind swell versus swell, period, type). I like to look at all of the area buoys to see if I am missing something. Pretty much get everything you need from weather.com and swellinfo (NOAA links). These little lows can produce fun surf depending on where it pops off versus where you live.

Reading any chart or satellite or weather maps is easy.
Anybody can read them....it's a picture for crying out loud....

3-4 foot, lumpy, but warm water and semi-clean on the face with the wind straight onshore @ 10. Some waves walled up enough to do some turns.

Got out yesterday after work and had some easily chest high sets roll through down in sandbridge. I was switching off between my buddy's 8'4 longboard and my fish. the fish feels like a potato chip after riding the Dewey.

Heading out with him after work today and took friday off in case there are any leftovers.

Been a pretty decent week so far.

Little bumpy and lumpy this eve. Seeing a little bump in the buoy with some mid period action. Don't sleep in....Lil'low trying to serve it up. Good reprieve from the tropical hype train. Hope y'all get some!
