If the travel is domestic ship em fed ex ahead of time and pay the extra insurance offered. Or buy a new board where you are going and sell it back to the shop for 100 less. Or buy an inflatable SUP. I've lost two boards to airlines and am done with the their routine. FYI its also cheaper to fedex your clothing bags depending on the carrier, too.
