    Wow, sorry to hear about that. Way too young. Wasn't even aware that melanoma of the eye was possible. I think my days of going without eye protection at the beach are now over.

    Yeah I have pterygiums im eyes as well. I get them checked once a year to insure they are not getting larger; they are not growing, so I am ok.

    I have bad eyes near sighted and already two cataract ops. I have recently used Surf Shades for a really bright small day. Have had to repair strap after use on a larger day. Also problem with contrast early in am. But for instance mid-summer mid-day worked real well.
