Hey does anyone think the forecast for tommorow is a little bit ridiculous. I predict it's at least going to be waist-chest for the am then dropping in the pm. I'm planning on going on a DP after church. Anyone agree with my thoughts?
Yeah, there was a previous post where another guy was talking about how surfline has predicted at least waist to shoulder high waves for tommorrow. I'm no expert, but even though Noel is quickly leaving, I would think that some of the swell that he kicked up yesterday afternoon and evening east of the outerbanks would arrive up in Jersey a while after he is gone. Maybe according to the swellinfo forecast, that stuff isn't going to arrive until Monday, which is predicted at waist to chest high.

Heres Surfline's Prediction: SUNDAY SURF: Fun size 3-4’+ SE leftovers are on tap for much of the region with larger set waves in the head-overhead range at the top spots. Spots from Cape Cod through NH /ME are still seeing plenty of ENE/SE swell mix in the 5-6’ range with larger sets in the 2-3’ overhead range to standout spots – spots up this way will be the last to receive the swell and the last to see the surf fade. Winds are NW 10-15kts. DISCUSSION: Noel is on a N becoming NE track and will pass east of the region. As a result a complicated wave pattern sets up with multiple swell directions in the water. This swell is well established by Saturday into Sunday. Use the LOLA model and nearshore models to help visualize the progression of the SE swell train. NE and SE swell mix is on tap with solid surf in the water Saturday with winds becoming more favorable for the E facing, exposed spots as we move through the day. Of course the S facing spots will benefit all day from the N becoming NW winds. Plenty of leftovers continue for Sunday with lighter NW winds. Over the weekend, Noel undergoes extratropical transition while moving north towards the Canadian Maritimes. This will result in fun but slowly fading SE leftovers for much of the NE region early next week. A solid swell is due to Nova Scotia for the weekend with winds potentially becoming favorable there with the progression of the system. The slow fading trend continues with small scale but still surfable waves for most spots by Tuesday/Wednesday of next week. Some localized windswell will also mix in for the S exposed spots.

I think Oc nj was definitly the best bet for this swell it was offshore by noon and surfed easily double over head all afternoon
sunday forecast is likely an undercall... i'm thinking there will be plenty of size leftover through the day. enjoy.
yo rightaway i dont think inlet will be that good because of the north winds but it might be worth a shot.

don't know what you were calling for but ocean city maryland was chest-head in the am and chest in the pm. clean conditions all day w/straight offshores.
NJ was the same....and there are fun ones today...2- to 4-foot and offshore early, but will most likely go south by midday to mid-afternoon...tomorrow could be fun in the mid- to late- AM timeframe... BTW...Surfline stinks... Jettylife521, I suggest you go to: http://www.swellinfo.com/ and pick your region...while it seems that the forecast change quite often (which they ALL do more than 2-3 days out on the East Coast), Micah's forecasts are tight within the 2 day time frame..as good if not better than most..
