Hi all. This is my first post here but I check SwellInfo regularly to keep an eye on the waves. Been shooting surf for a little while and I wanted to share my gallery from last weekend. Please have a look.

Jay, thanks for the kind words. Have always liked your BMX stuff. That slow shutter city work is so cool. Also some people use http://tiltshiftmaker.com/ or the blur tool in photoshop.

Glad everyone enjoyed the set. Thanks. Who else has NJ Bill photos? Or any photos for that matter, post 'em up!!

Those were spur of the moment shots from this past winter. I want to do a few more this season when it's cold again, but a basic setup would include camera and strobe. You can use the on camera flash and I am sure it would work just fine. For the pictures on my site I used an off camera strobe fired by remote.

Watch out for shadows, especailly if you are going to use the on camera flash. I forget which shot it is, but the shadow is cast over a portion of the board. Shadows can be cool, but not over what you are trying to show. Experiment and do what you think will work. Post up your results!!
