Just ordered this new 3/2 yesterday. I won't need it for a while but my wife asked me what I wanted for an anniversary gift, so this is what I got. Anybody have one and care to share their experience? This will be my first chest zip. I always went with back zip, but thought i'd try something new for a change. http://www.hbc6.com/o-neill-superfr...configurable&gclid=CImAop-3t88CFYtZhgodGTUG-w
Chest zip is the way to go... That's funny because for my anniversary with the chica I'm getting this Wetsuits make for good anniversary gifts. I've only had rip curl but I hear *xcels are worthy. P.s. her gift is a rad camera to get pics of me surfing lol
I love O'kneel. Chest zips are great, for actual cold watre J/k DP...but in reality, I can't be bothered crawling in and out of the chest zip unless it's truly cold, Dec through April, then I go back to my thinner suites witch are all back zip. #WitchWetsuite
So it's kinda a b*tch getting in and out of a chest zip? Are you referring to a thicker suite than a 3/2 though? Seeing as we don't get "actual" cold water, this is as thick as I'll need around here. Never tried Xcel other than a rash guard, and I like it. Good to know though, maybe I'll try them next. Nice! Congrats on your anniversary btw, I have been wearing a 3/2 Ripcurl DawnPatrol (naturally) and an O'Neill Hammer Spring Suite for years and have been happy with both, so I figured it would either be a Ripcrul or O'Neill and I had a 15% promo code for this so it saved me over $40 on the order, which is tight. Good to know dude, hoping to like it as well.
It is a b!tch getting in/out imho...once you get your first arm out you're good to go. And yessir, my only chestie is my 6/5.
Gotcha, so maybe as a 3/2 it'll be a bit easier than you're use to experiencing, or i'm hoping. My back zip is so quick to get in and out of.
Got my first chest zip Rip Curl Flash Bomb 4/3 last season. It's a b!tch to get in and out the first couple of times and you will do a lot of cussing, but I love it! New zuit looks nice DP
I only wear ripcurl. My first chest zip was a few years ago, a 5/4, such a pain to get in and out of. Pulled a muscle a few times I think. But once you get the technique down, it's a breeze. I can get in and out in a snap now. Going to be picking up a new 5/4 this weekend for my bday. Looks like allot of us are getting suites as presents.
What's up BassMon, haven't seen you round deez parts in a while! I'll second the Rip Curl choice and happy b-day!
just one tip. tighten the drawcord on the pull over where zipper is. when pig dogin' water will come in on the side
WTF are you all whining about regarding chest suits being hard to get in and out?? And someone pulls a muscle doing it?? Are you a bunch of pussies or what?? They are easy to get on and off, little different than back zips. I even have chest zips for summer, in addition to back zips. At last count, I have 13 wetsuits, 3 for each seasons, all brands, but mostly Xcels. Get the X-2s for best sealing around neck. Pussies.......
