The first model 'was awarded ‘Best in Show’ at the prestigious Sacred Craft surfboard exhibition' so it's got that going for it. Which is nice. Surfboard design is funny because on one hand, like aerodynamic car design, there are certain principles which tend to dictate design leading a sameness of appearance and yet it's still a pretty young/niche industry so maybe all the good ideas haven't been thought of.

Not interested in buying one but I would be interested to know how they worked for someone. I guess they didn't work for these dudes, thus the listing on CL.
You might want to check and see if they are a Global Surf Industries Meyerhoffer. I personally think it would affect value, and maybe more. For at least a few years...maybe 2013-2015...I saw a lot of Meyerhoffer boards that were made by GSI. That may or may not matter to anyone, but I thought it was probably something to avoid.
I'm not a fan. I can't find any explanation or reason why shapes like these would ride better than a more typically shaped board. Just because there are videos out there of guys riding them proficiently, doesn't mean they're better... and they better be better for me to give up what I ride for that $600+ sideshow freak. So sure... you could ride it. But do you want to? Besides... as I always say... All boards ride. They just might not ride the way you expect them to.
I have used the Slip In. There's a video of Micah Lester absolutely ripping one in Indo. I used a 6'2" and my first wave I guess I put my foot too far back and missed the board completely lol. Second wave was better, lots of speed and can hold a line but I couldn't turn the thing for ****. I think the board needs to be much smaller than a 6'2 for myself and it seems like it needs a "real" wave. I could tell there was potential but I'm not going to investigate further. If you're in Dewey beach stop by East of Maui and I'll let you demo it.
I have a friend who has one. Believe me, it doesn't ride like a shortboard when you get back on it. It rides like a longboard still. You can pump a little better on it than a longboard, but that's about it.
I saw a guy riding one those a few weeks back.b it seemed to be working for him, but looked like it was riding like a LB. Like others said, I'm sure they ride and can probably ride well given the right rider. But that you're of design dosn't make sense to me. For instance, the bonzer. Some like them, some hate them. But the design made sense to me, intriguing me to get and try one. Those shapes, not so much. Diffrent can be a good thing, but for me, it has to make sense in my wittle brain.
Rob machado has a board by firewire. I believe it's called the creeper. The tail is super foiled. Then on the deck on the tail, there's like a dimple. Basically removing foam from the tail making it easier to sink, but not in a way so drastic like these boards. Wouldn't effect your foot placement or anything like that. Using that type of design element on a bigger board would probably have the same effect as the board posted, but without being "out there"
