I totally kooked out. That was from my second day ever in Hawaii. The key for me to get waves was breaking out the cleaver and getting people to recognize me as a bodysurfer that would pull into just about anything. After that, I didn't have much of a problem. I must say though, on the best of days, I was up the beach at logs.
