I'm on bort Barry. You see a lot of places where the US dumps money, whether it's military aid or "humanitarian" aid that simply does not offer any return on investment. The primary beneficiary of this is the military industrial complex who sees US tax money sent overseas and then used to purchase US built weapons.

Isolationism like every debate in this country comes down to common sense moderation but is blown up into a hysterical contrast. We spend far too much and do far too much in too many places but we shouldn't isolate ourselves and stop all efforts. Same as government spending, it's not about huge govt spending vs the abolishment of entire agencies, it should he about realistic common sense spending. Or environmentalism, the dogmatic argument between climate change "believers" and "deniers" is entirely awaste if time. Working against pollution on a micro scale is beneficial and cost effective and no one will deny clean air and water efforts on a philosophical level When we have these massive black and white debates, nothing gets done but the debating. It's getting exhausting.
