That's what we all experience... it's been talked about on here many times... and it's what keeps most of us in this game of surfing our whole lives. You don't need to be a pro, to feel the flow! And... it's not just athletes who feel it. I believe it comes in all forms of art... the musician, the writer, the painter... all art forms that actively engage the artist and the medium can achieve that higher state of consciousness that we call flow.
not to be a **** but its mostly the adrenaline..thats why time slows down and everything is so fluid.

interesting...never thought about it like that and would agree. Its interesting after listening about this and never gave it much thought about how it makes you feel. Iam a pretty good street skater and better bump skier and have the flo and just stoked after those sessions...but surfing, I can have it sometimes but very rarely have it where Iam fist pumping after a wave, dont get me wrong, Iam stoked but feel like at times and just cant keep connecting...but there is a variable that makes surfing more difficult then the other sports that I have it pretty good. That dam canvass keeps changing...street skating, the canvass is in front of you never changing, mogul skiing, is the same, its there and it aint gonna change, bump aint gonna jump up....but that freakn wave, moves and just cant get into that flo like the other sports. It definitely take a certain nack...All sports are like this. Golf, heck if in you are in a flo, look out, you may have the best round of your life, but can you keep it for 18 holes. Tough to do.
holy crap! just watched this...ever had a session so stoked, regardless of what it is, and only finding yourself suffering from a bit of depression next morning cause it aint there and throthing to get it back...
