Looking to do a surf trip to the Canaries in Mid January. There are several islands that offer surf, but even though they all offer surf my main concern is the winds. Which island offers the best surf with ideal winds. Just about any info and tips on pretty much anything about the islands are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, before simod demonstrates his abject IGNORANCE a second time, the reason for my question is because one of the Canaries has great surf, and is also, coincidentally a birdwatchers haven during migration. I forget which island it is, but should you google and identify the one birdwatchers travel to, then you have also found the surfing island.
careful out there,,one section of the canaries has a part of an island cumbra vieja/la palma i think that is going to fall into the ocean the next big volcanic eruption the ensuing land mass being pushed into the atlantic will cause a widespread tsunami that will envelope the east coast up to 20 miles inland the wave reaching the east coast will be up to 50 meters high at impact https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zb4T8a1K5tw surf that
