So my friend got me a Billabong wetsuit for Christmas, and the only problem is that they got me a medium. i'm only 5'9 145 pounds, 31 waist, 37 inch chest. I said a medium small would be better for me but the guy at the shop told them to get a medium. now i was wondering do billabong suits run small or something i don't know why the guy would say that. Now the sad part is they sold out of all other sizes. Anybody have experiences with Billabong suits?
I've got an idea. Why don't you try it on and see if it fits? Pretty easy way to answer your question. Next.
Kind of hard to do that when i'm not in the country, i was just wondering if anyone has any pointers with the Billabong suits Next.
Go to Wetsuit Warehouse dot com and pick out a similar Billabong suit. While viewing the suit, you will see that each manufacturer has their own sizing chart. Open up that chart, and use your personal measurements to assess which size is best for you. It's not as exact as what Total Asshole suggested, but it appears that you already know the best way is to actually try one on. So these charts are probably as close as you're gonna get. Good luck, and congratulations on the new suite.
Bought a Billibong 5/4/3 from Wetsuit Wearhouse last month. Early X-mas gift to myself. Used the sizing chart. No complaints. Fits great.
I have owned one Bilabong in my life--it did fit smaller than others, especially the arm sleeves. They were tight. Good wetsuit though, As the asshole said, try it on then decide.....
If it's small put some Vaseline on to get on....then take a piss and shyte in it...it'll come off easier
Bwahahaha. I'm not sure what tips you are looking for, you haven't even tried the suite on. Once you try it on and find out there is a problem, go from there. Maybe go back to the shop it was purchased from and talk to the owner about a trade. I had one Billabong suite and it seemed the legs were about 2 inches longer than my Rip Curl, I returned it.
If it doesn't fit and the store owner won't take it back I bet you could always sell it to frost. He's looking to get a wetsuite and I'm sure a medium would be just the right size for him.
This is the stupidest thing i ever read on here. It takes the whole "what wet suit" threads that everyone gets tired of to a new level. Those seem tolerable after this. Your out of the country. Can't try it on? Ok here's a noble idea. Wait until you get back and can try it on, then....try it on. If it doesn't fit, return it for somthing different. The charts aren't a bad idea either of your that impatient. But trying it on is the best way to know. Considering looking at charts takes a bare minimum effort, I'm guessing that will be to hard for you. If you had to post this thread, looking at charts and actually figuring this out seems waaaaay past your ability level
Only exceeded by the lack of hazing that followed. Seriously - guy comes on asking for help with a wetsuit he's never seen in a different country and gets semi-helpful advice. The mods have people running scared i guess.
I think you answered your own question. The shop didnt have the right size in stock so they sold you the wrong size. Either way i wouldnt worry about it. Most 7th graders gain a wetsuite size about every six months so its going to work out fine.
