Legend indeed Fungus. There are many folks who represent (not in the marketing fashion) what surfing is all about in the mid-Atlantic (east coast even) but 2M was the epitome of core outer banks surfing! He captured the essence of surfing these sandbars as if he was out there himself. The light he shined was with out question a bright one. He will be missed dearly and never forgotten. Rest In Peace Mickey "2M" McCarthy. Your footprint in the sands will never be washed away by the tides.
I agree the photos were amazing and unique. I enjoyed looking at them and wondering what it was like.
