Hey guys just looking to get some wetsuit advice. I finally have a few bucks to drop on a nice winter suit. I want something I can wear from december to march. In the past I have toughed it out in my 3/2 with 5mil gloves and booties. Should I check out the local inventory, or go with an online retailer? Thanks
i say that with a local shop you can try it on. with online you may save some money though. if you have the money support the local shops but if you do not go to an online dealer. I would recomend a Rip Curl F-Bomb. I would get that if I had the money but hyperflex is cheap well made locally
having had 2 f-bombs, i would stay away from them. for whatever reason, Rip Curl can't seem to get their fluid welded seam technology right and I've had torn seams on both suits. they are warrantied for sure but it sucks to send them back when you've got a macking swell on the way.
i have some brand new west suits. they sponsored patience and gave me some suits. i am selling them. they have never been worn and still have tags. let me know what you are looking for and the sizes. ill sell them really cheap. thanks chaz
i rock a hyperflex 5/4/3. for the price the quality is really good. i havent had a problem with it at all and this is going to be my second winter with it. check ebodyboarding.com they have them for cheap
I bought a 6/5/4mm Hyperflex FLOW Hooded Wetsuit from wetsuitwarehouse.com last winter and it's been great. Used it plenty of times, and its cheap. Oh and I got a 6/5/4 because I like to stay extra warm.
i Say o'neil heat got a 5/3 last fall kept me tosy all winter still holding up great and it was one of the cheepest name brand suits i have
the oneil heat is a great suit. used it for the past two winters and it kept me warm in monmouth county no problem, flexible/reasonable price. stepping up to a psycho freak for this winter though. that being said..go try some on. each brand is a bit different!
Not sure where your located. In OCMD Chaunceys carries xcel drylock 5/4/3 wetsuits at a good price which is the warmest suit i have ever worn. I had a bad experience last winter with a hyperflex...it was poorly made, the seams leaked, ended up giving away.
hey everyone, got a ton of private messages. ill get an inventory list (size and price list) and photos up for everyone either tonight or tomorrow. chaz
I've become a huge West fan and obviously Xcel is the gold standard. A few guys I surf with user Hyperflex and like them alot. No-one had issue but I've heard that you can take a leaking suit to their factory and they will fix it on the spot.
