Bodyboarding is a skill you don't seem to forget. I might of gone out once a year or less for the past twenty or so years. This year, I have even gone to The Wedge, New Port had a blast there. And it does help a little with surfing.

There was a really good opportunity for an aerial around 2:18 mark :-(

I've been trying to learn to drop-knee but that is tough. Tougher that standing up on a longboard. Maybe, even a shortboard. Any tips for drop-knee?

Elliot, you seem like a nice and fun dude, so, i am gonna take some time to advise you.

now would you just go up to a group of surfers talking together on a beach and just start talking to them? No, you wouldn't . You would hang back , watch the water, wait, watch the guys moves, maybe say Hey after a few times, and then you would introduce yourself casually.

Similar here. You would read a bunch of treads for a while, get the feel for the group, get into their heads, read their moves, then, you post an intro Hello tread based on what you learn about the community's culture. So, maybe, try again....

Here is a good intro tread:

He would probably learn your version of drop-knee if you gave him a personal lesson.

    O barry.

Why not? God forbid you should be friendly. I'm sure op has zero care in the world about fitting in on a online forum. I know I don't care.

This is why I hate most surfers. They take themselves way too seriously. It's a hobby. Got to love the stink eye, ego, and deadly serious look surfers have when riding waist to chest high waves at east coast sandbars. Most don't even look like their having fun. Most just look frustrated for 90 percent of the session. They all seem super worried about looking "cool" and being miserable. It's interesting to see 30-50 year old men with the maturity level of a 14 year old. Time to mature past junior high.

My favorite is when you smile and say hello to a lone surfer and he looks right through you with total disgust like a total douche canoe. They look like their having a constipation session, not a surfing session.

Your average surfer is a white male yuppie who has a hobby. You're not doing anything extreme or amazing. You're like the masses who go to indoor rock climbing walls or the thousands that visit mountains to ski.

Get over yourselves and learn to have fun and chill out, otherwise what the hell is the point?

Elliot, you would do well to heed Betty's advise. She is the last person on this phorumme that you want to get on the bad side of. That said, wellcomme to this place where assholes and morons congregate. And Betty too.

I wouldn't start talking to a bunch of surfers in less they were my friend, or brother. lol Anyways, advice heeded. I guess this thread is like dropping in on somebodies wave lol.

It's a gopro mounted unto the bodyboard.
