    Greatest book ever written.

"Youre the new squadron commander, but dont think it means anything because it doesnt. It just means youre the new squdron commander."

    "Nice tight bombing pattern"

Please read the book. Also. Im struggling bad with alcholism. This forum sucks now but its still a cool place.

Catch 22 movie is horrendous. But i really do hope at least one of u read the book

I referenced "Catch 22" within a private message to a registered member, not so very long ago...

However, the most read book in the world is the Bible, and it has benefited many with addictions.

Obvious that piggy tread jacker hasn't read the book, yet she posts its crapola anyways. Dudes used to beat the shiiiite out of her, of course, and now the Forume receives her insane keyboart pounding as retardibution.

CATCH-22.....Pretty much the finest book ever written. Major Major. Yossarian. Milo Minderbinder. The insanity of war, non-partisan. Satire at absolute genius level, approaching madness.

Good luck with your thing. Try friend of bill's. It's gonna be difficult in the booze-soaked America.

I'll check it out, never read it. Hang in there man, it's a tough addiction. No shame in rehab if it gets to that. I'll bet you'll surf a lot more afterwards.

Read it many moons ago. 30 + years ago, just before movie came out. I thought movie was well done, considering how intricate the book was. I loved the scene in the brothel when they were interviewing the old Italian man surrounded by whores, on the secrets of survival....."when Ceasar was here, Long live Rome,; when the Nazis were here, Heil Hitler, and now, you Americans are here, God Bless America"!!! (paraphrased).

    It's brilliant.

And it makes me agitated when people refer to things as a catch 22 when it's not.

    And Archy Fahks kittens.

    Lol "i see everything twice!"

"How many fingers am i holding up?"

"By god he really does see everything twice!"

This was a man to be admired a man of true talent. He would follow this man whereever he went.

That night the man who saw everything twice died and yossarian decided hed follwed him far enough.

    "I see everything once!"

There was definitely a Catch 22 in Jersey as well. Saw them in Philly or the Krome or some other **** hole club.

Catch 22 the book is a classic.

If you liked Catch 22, read all of the Kurt Vonnegut you can get your hands on. I'd start with Galapagos and move into Slaughterhouse Five and Mother Night.

You can skip Sirens of Titan though...

Catch-22 was a great band, if you liked them definitely check out Streetlight Manifesto, one of their side projects.

I'm reading Sirens right now. Have read the bulk of KV and don't think its his best but certainly not one to skip over, in my opinion. Malachi Constant AKA Unk is a pretty solid character.

100 years of solitude is on deck. This winter I'm hitting all the classics I didn't read in HS/ college. Its been a great winter reading project.
