Micah, Would it be possible to have the threads be put into categories like the pictures. Maybe an "upcoming swell" category to post threads about the next surf event like this weekend. or a "sports" or "music" category to talk about their favorites or whatever. I feel like this would eliminate the hostileness towards repeated threads.
I have found that the more you break up the forums, the less the threads get read. For whatever reason, hostility and surfing forums go together. I dont really understand it.

I say Swellinfo should make something like surfer of the week or bodyboarder of the week. Something that could expose up and coming surfers and bodyboarders. That be really cool I think. I know Swellinfo do something like that for Colin Herlihy, but they should do something like this more often. Colin said that Swellinfo video helped him get noticed more than he already was. It is just an idea, but i think that be cool
They should also give one out for the up and coming asshole award, and lets just give it to you since you brought it up... wouldn't that be convenient?
