I will be rejoining when i heal up. Thankfully i have some money saved up and will be fine unemployed for about a year in worst case scenario. And hopefully re enlist in about 6 months
Um dude, you got hurt during an academy run by the U.S. Government. They should be reimbursing you through OWCP. What's up?
I'm not exactly sure about this, but there is a difference between OWCP and Worker's Compensation. I'd have to look it up, but I'm two lazy. One of them provides compensation while injured on the job, while allowing a return to work. I would do my homework on this. In my experience, the government hasn't always been honest when giving advice to personnel...only in the interest of saving a few dollars. PS - it's not "disability". This might be a misunderstanding.
ok. i'll be that guy wtf you cant break shins. it is a reference for a location on the body. you cant break that. also, nobody in the history of man has broken anything just by running. never. srsly, i thought you were a cop and rode mx. wtf guy?
if the military is really ur thing,u should practice running miles in boots before u re enlist.u know they do all that intensive training for a reason, your being chased through the fields of Fallujah with isis chasing u,u cant break some shins and call time out lol.2 weeks in,thats fukd lol,no offense. heal up dudeski ,and don't screw urself up for surfing getting hurt.its one thing to serve ur country, its another to lose your hobbies and dreams in the process
Sorry to hear. Thats kinda crazy. Breaking a shin is a huge fear of mine for some weird reason. I guess because there isn't much there except skin and bone? Sorta of topic. Don't know how it works for military. But aflac is the shiz. I suggest everyone get it. My job offers it, but from what i understand you can go out on your own and get it. If i get injured on or off the job, i get paid basically my full salary. Get a check up, get paid. Lose a finger (which can easily happen in my line of work), whether it gets reattached or not...paid like 2K. Of course there's diffrent plans and diffrent options. But its cheap but so worth it. Dude i work with broke his back. Vertebrae not the spine, so not super serious. But still. He had to beg to come back to work so he could support his family. If he had the aflac plan that covers that thing, he'd be getting paid basically full salary and would be in no rush of getting back to work. It's like 5 bucks a week. No brainer
