Dude, I cant eat Funyuns anymore. Back in the day, we were all shrooming, driving around in my car. We were cruising around Wildwood and the guy sitting behind me was eating a bag of funyuns. He somehow began to choke on one and proceeded to throw up funyuns all over the back of my neck. I, in turn, wretched all over my dashboard. It was like a gory horror movie scene. All the more enhanced by the mushrooms. When I see that Yellow-green bag my stomach turns.
We got almost an inch of snow in Wilmington yesterday. Thank goodness it was a Sunday or else it would have looked like full on Mad Max out there. Fill yer bathtubs with water so you can flush the toilet when the power is out. That's what we do in the southeast when we have a 'cane bearing down! You guys enjoy the snow. Looks like decent weather and surf for days down here.
Got plenty o food. Just faced off with the hoards at Lowe's to pickup a small generator. Anyone have any experience getting a generator powering their furnace blower fan? I got's 2 toddlers and a small baby in the house so I need to keep it warm if the power goes out for any substantial amount of time.
How many amps is the generator? I wouldn't mess with the furnace fan. We have an electric space heater that heat sup one room real nice. Go back out and get one. Have your self a slumber party with the kids in one room. get some charcoal or propane and fire up the grill. I love grilling in the cold. Put your fridge on the generator and maybe one light and a tv or radio of you can.
Thanks Chavez, I started looking into the furnace blower fan and it's wayyy outside my comfort zone of playing with electricity and wires. Generator I picked up is 3400W so I'll get the fridge hooked up to that and if power goes out we'll camp out around the fireplace for the evening. We'll eat lotsa beans too.

I ran a 30 amp line to a transfer switch, to my breaker panel. When I run my generator, half the house is powered up, including my furnace, hot water heater, tvs, computers, fridge, fish tank, etc. Kinda late now, but you can get everything from Lowes and do it yourself for cheap.
