gettin a new suit for the season. combo of summer suits worked ok last winter but i'd like to stray away from that looking at 2 different suits: the oneill mutant 5/4/3 w/ hood, but it's a little too costly so i'm also lookin at the hyperflex AMP 5/4/3 w/ hood which is about $130 cheaper....anyone know someone who has 1 of these things and could give some feedback?
suit hey man im not sure if you saw my post earlier but I have a xcel infinity 5/4/3 that is in super good condition. save yourself alot of money. I used it a handful of times but it was too small for me its a Medium short. e-mail me for pics its honestly perfect suit and I need the money to pay for some of the new one i got just in a bigger size.. ..175 its urs df16192@salisbury.edu for pics
I bought the 5/4/3 mutant last year and love it. Super warm, super flexible and i love the detachable hood. Have a friend who swares by the Psycho II which is similar to the mutant.
IMO the 5/4/3 xcel infinity is the warmest suit out there and they last 4ever. Jump on the used one if its the right size...
We have the BodyGlove Stormtrooper 5/4/3 hooded and its very warm, its relatively easy to stretch to customize it to your proportions, eps on the attached hood. You can get them online for a good price, just need to shop around.
Got a rip curl Core 4/3 with fireskin bat wing.. for 239.00 .. with a lifetime seam warranty. Add the fireskin hood and boots and you'll be toasty.. and save money. Its basically the same suit as the F-bomb except over 100 bucks cheaper. The lifetime warranty is what sold me on the suit.
Right on, that's what I have and it's plenty for this area. The fireskin is the key. BUT, I tried to contact rip curl about the warrenty and they gave me a bunch of crap, and in effect never helped me out. I went ahead and did the repairs myself, which was probably good to learn anyway, but still was a little pissed.
My bud had a seam blow out on his f-bomb suit and took it back to Chauncey's uptown store (oc md) they sent it out and Rip Curl sent him back a brand new suit. What did you use to repair the seams with? It would be nice to know if I ever needed to repair my suit in an emergency. Cap
