Anyone catching any strippers yet or hearing any activity out their.I cant beleive how flat this fall has been. Not to be negative but every day when you check out the forecast it blows.I guess i"ll start fishing.
Yeah my dad said he caught a small one. I think I am going tonight, I will post something if anything comes up.
stripers I guess you were asking about the coast, but we're catching them in the Chesapeake. Fishing is hot even is the surfing isn't. Caught some nice fat 22 inchers that are tasty.
No strippers here, but I did catch a 19" striper last night near the oc inlet. Unfortunately they need to be 28" to keep. I also caught a flounder which is not in season anymore so had to throw him back too. But I did get 1 nice tautog which was dinner. Also kept a couple shad to use for shark bait in the surf this weekend. Overall a good time of year to go fishing. Get out there!
Keeping shad is against current MD law at any time of year and in any location... Tighten up before you get fined.
No strippers or rockfish yet in Virginia Beach...might be a little too warm just yet. Caught a bunch of citation flounder and spotted trout in the Lynnhaven Inlet area of VB this week using your basic plastic green worm... LET ME KNOW WHEN THE ROCKFISH ARE BITING!!!
