Hey Swellinfo community, I've always had pretty good skin, darker complexion and sun never really got to me. Getting older (32) and the freckles and spots are more pronounced. Does anybody have any experiences to share with treatment for removing or lightening of sun spots on your face? Been researching IPL treatments, chemical peels and at home homeopathic style remedies and wanted to hear other users experiences. I regularly use sunscreen. Even the face sticks for checks and nose. Might have to start resorting to a floppy surf hat. Especially for tropical trips. Thanks
Your best solution is to just not give a fvck about them, UNLESS, one turns into something nasty such as melanoma (irregular borders, very dark, etc). As for "getting older (32)".......may you permit me to say--go fvck thyself. I am 66. You are still in diapers!!!
^^^About the worst advice you could possibly be given. Go to dermatologist once a year and get yourself checked out. Seen way too many people lose large amounts of their skin due to skin cancer. Melanoma is life threatening, if you got it, you are already passed the point of prevention.
Stinky speaks the truth young fella. I'm 54 and I've had chunks taken off my shoulders and one off of my face. Go to the Derm Doc. If my plaque filled arteries don't kill me first, the melanoma will. Get checked out now.
I visited the dermatologist back in early 2016. Said the spots were NOT cancerous and not signs of melanoma. But I agree that annual dermatologist should be a must for all surfers.
Annual visit and proper sun screen. Old Cuda is partially correct, if one turns dark, get yo a$$ back to the doc! And yeah, ha ha on the getting older. Your still a young fella!
I would get a spork and just start gouging those suckers outta there. Sure you may get a few scars, but you can tell everyone its reef rash brah
