definitely possible you're not gonna surf sunset or pipe uncrowded, but if you just look around you can find a manageable spot. i'm not going to give any tricks away, but just wander around at different times of day and figure it out, it's really not as hard as you might think.

Hmmm How long you gonna be there? Depending on your luck, it'll probably be somewhere between big and fu@$ing enormous. There's not really any way to tell in advance, but once the storm track starts to establish itself in early/mid-November, you can expect things to build steadily over the following month. (ie if it's double overhead most every day in November, it'll probably be at least a little bigger in Dec.).
