Nice man. I'm glad your enjoying it. I have back issues to from an injury back in high school. Nothing serious. But enough to be pretty damn painful if i dont keep up with the yoga. It helps a ton. And archy, you make a solid point. I was talking more about the cliche yoga talk, spoken by people who don't really understand. I'm not saying i fully understand it. But i do feel i have began to scratch the surface. More so through meditation then through yoga, although they do sorta go hand in hand. I can't say i would of used the same words. But after getting into meditation and really working on it (to truly meditate is much more than just sitting down with eyes closed. Its hard) i do believe there is something to the "hippie dippie crap". Where the energy comes from i don't know. But there is somthing happening there. I just don't think the guy or girl who takes a yoga class every once in awhile understands it. Its become cliche
I've been telling you guys for 2 years but nobody listens. Yoga with Tim on Youtube is the only real and true channel if you want legit yoga off the intermenet.
On the real 100 of 100 times over again all a pimp needs is a Teeter hang up, the decompression of inversion therapy is the truth; all a player really needs!
Yeah my accident wasn't major. I mean it totaled my Tahoe but we didn't have a scratch on us. It wasn't till a couple weeks later I noticed a spot on my back that just doesn't feel right and I constantly am doing stretches to get it to "pop" or whatever to get some sort of relief. The lower back is usually in good shape but recently pulled it so it prompted me to take a real look at Yoga. I like to avoid doctors so anything I can do at home first is for me. Lmao Did it click when he started squeezing some ass? I do remember you saying something. It's so new to me that any video works right now. I'll check out Tim but I gotta say it makes easier to follow along with a hottie like in the above videos.
Yoga is good. I agree with others who said it has been a but romanticized. Back in high school we did yoga duting wrestling practice 3 times a week. It improved my flexibility and we had a bunch less injuries that year. We had no idea what we were getting into but we all wound up liking it. Imagine that- an entire room of idiot wreslters doing yoga. I cant get over the prices they charge people to do this though. Also i hate when the say "namaste" idk why. Its jusy one of those things that irks me.
Bubs that's almost how i got into yoga. Judo. Between that and surfing i figured it would help both allot. Judo and surfing actually is the reason for allot of things. The way i eat, workout, yoga. Figured to excel at both it'd be better to take care of my body instead of just lifting heavy weights trying to get jacked. Used to weigh 180. Wasn't fat or anything. Once i made the change i was down at 140, much more natural weight for my body. And steered improving in both judo and surfing
Btw, Yoga benifits all bodily systems. All. You'd be amazed. So many garbage pharmaceuticals could be replaced by a regular yoga practice, eliminating the ailment and the 20 other ailments you take on as "side affects" from the drugs.
I can agree with that. You can get rid of the "garbage" pharmaceuticals, but not those needed by actually sick patients. In 2000 elections, Al Gore said the very same thing; he told patients on coumadin to stop taking it because it was a pharma plot to take over the world. People died. I once had a conversation with a chiropractor--he told me he can get rid of hepatitis B with chiropractice. Of course, a virus will respond and die to his manipulations. Right, uh huh. It is why I call them quackopractors. Yoga is nice--I use a few exercises (the basic ones) and it does help me with my hips bigly. So it does minimize any motrin (garbage) that I take. But as you age there are many ailments that are the result of DNA timing that no yoga can get rid of, unless, of course, you claim it changes the basic nucleotide sequencing of DNA. That would make you a quakopractor as well. All therapies have limitations. So does your brain.
Yoga makes your immune system very strong, which is the first line of defense when your body has something to deal with. Yoga also helps your elimination system, which is the root of most disease. If your body isn't eliminating toxins efficiently they will manifest as disease. I really mean it when I say yoga helps all bodily systems. I said many not all, regarding pharmaceuticals. There is a difference between those words. Funny you mentioned Coumadin (blood thinner); yoga greatly reduces blood pressure, eliminating the need for blood thinner in many cases. Funny you mention DNA too (I never said anything about yoga altering genetic code. Your reading comprehension has limitations); meditation has been scientifically proven to alter genetic code. Our bodies can do amazing things if we pay attention to them. Most of us don't, we use our body as a means to an end with little regard to it's functionality. We are over focused on treating ailments, rather than the causes, which is wonderful for pharmaceutical companies and their stockholders.
You have bought into a fad. There is little to no scientific evidence for what you claim has any measure of health improvements other than "feel good" articles. It is physical therapy and little more. Meditatiion alters DNA?? hahahahaha!! You are a moron. And btw, blood thinners are not indicated or prescribed for high blood pressure. You know zero about medicine.
Why are you such an a$$hole, Barry? How could you possibly know about what I've bought into? Why are you always so sure of yourself? Sorry I mixed up anticoagulants with blood pressure meds. Are you okay? Yoga is still a great replacement for both types of drugs though (proven, but of course every case is different and sometimes drugs are definitely necessary; possibly at a lesser dose). Why would you declare I know zero because I made a mistake? Does that make you feel better about yourself, and the know it all image you portray? That's all ego, bro and it ain't pretty. There are tons of first hand accounts where yoga has successfully replaced pharmaceuticals.
I'm trying to help a bunch of people I don't even know by sharing some real life knowledge, and you're over here being a barry.
Hard to do more than light stretching with severe hip arthritis. And it will not cure high-grade fibrosarcoma. The best surfer i know is a chiropractor and he says stretching is way overrated and yoga is damaging to most and only good for few. He rips. But preaching yoga is our national religion, so to have a different view could cause yoga fans to unload, but not peace or love, that is for sure. The people i know who say yoga is number one are the same people who are the most tightly wound stressed angry unhappy people i know.
You like yoga? Great You like weightlifting? Cool You like crossfit? Fantastic Whatever. But pushing your particular brand of (insert favorite pastime here) as the be-all, end-all to every other available alternative is extremely uninformed. And that's putting it nicely. You got something that works for you? Good on ya. But please stop trying to sell it to everyone else as The Best And Only Alternative. Thanks
