just wanted to give a shout out to all of the local crew. You would have thought it was ten years in the past,... Fun off season swell with (only local faces) up and down the beach for most of the day. Sunny sky, mild air temps, everyone in 3/2's for the most part, no hoods, water as warm as you could expect for beginning of NOV. Something to remember,.. even more then the waves. Great day all the way around.
I'll second that. Surprising lack of crowds - anywhere. Wasn't it wonderful to have sunny, blue skies for a change! P.S. Not sure you can call me a "local face." But I did see a familiar face or two where we ended up getting our best waves of the day.
not sure where yall surfed but it was pretty packed where I live. I do agree that there was a good vibe yesterday.. Still sucks that it gets dark so early. Anyone stay out long enough to see the blood moon rise ???
it was beautiful. but then i got freaked out after you dudes rolled, and looked around and no one was out. and it was dark. surfing alone at dark sketches me out, so i was out like a tourist in a rip.
second that second,..and wish I did not have to split at 3pm, I would have loved to get a shot of that moon. glad everyone had a good one around these parts,..here is to more of the same from now until spring.
ha! I was trying to stay out but the moon didn't rise fast enough and the flood lights on my house seemed like they may have been attracting some larger sea dwelling animals. I like surfing after dark doesen't really bother me. Would have been sick to get some night shots with the moon in the background and some tasty barrels in the fore....
LBI was firing yesterday. Was best in the morning but the red moon late session was so clean and lined up.
